Viera Wetlands (NKP)

Least Bittern

The weather forecast for the 4th of July made me think about not kayaking. But wanted to at least take a walk. Thought about Orlando Wetland Park, 15 minutes from home, but decided for Viera Wetlands. I will share the pics of what I saw today at this awesome location. Missed a chance to take a pic of an otter and is the only thing missing from the pics. Non kayaking post, NKP, so to the pics we go...

The first round of pics were taken on foot. But the mercury was rising and once made it back to my car opted for driving around next time. To cool down a bit decided to drive the 3.5 or 4 miles road to Moccasin Island Tract. There were no pics chances from that leg going in. Coming out entered the Click Ponds, that also produced no pics. But on my way out here is what I saw...

Decided to drive around the wetlands one more time just because saw a pair of crested caracaras and needed to do that if did not want to walk to their location. So I drove around and this is what that lap produced...
