Lower Wekiva River from Katie's Landings

Glossy Ibis

The conditions today were less than ideal to go out kayaking but, facing the possibility of going shopping instead...decided to have a quick paddle at the Lower Wekiva River. What can I say? I rather spend the day in the river than in a shopping mall.

I am going to spare you the unnecessary details. It was a short paddle, only two hours, because the threat of the rain. Explored the lagoon area, the small island North of Katie's, and went down stream for a few minutes before decided to return. The Wekiva is running low but really clear since 99.9% of the water sources are springs. That being said let us go to the pics, starting with the lagoon area ( or the area in front of Katie's Landings)...
