Dolphin Cove drama
Since this is a NKP, or Non Kayaking Post, will keep the comments to the minimum and go straight to the pics. Let us start with the first stop of the trip. While the plan was for a quick stop at Haulover Canal, then to the Bio Lab Rd, and the finish at Black Point Wildlife Dr, only the first two parts of it came to a close. A dolphin was hunting at Dolphin Cove and I tried to get rid of the bad taste of two weeks ago when I messed up a golden chance for a nice pic (Haulover Canal Dec 8). Here are the pics of this first stop...
Gaining speed ( see how the tip of the dorsal fin cuts the water)
Tail and fin
Dolphin (the background shows the put in area at Bair's Cove)
From Haulover Canal drove to Bio Lab Rd. It was my first time there so had no idea what to expect. The plan was to go to Black Point Wildlife Dr after that but Bio Lab Rd is long, and it was so nice that I took my time there. That being said, it was the last stop of the trip...
Great Blue Heron
A little help here please????
Ring Billed Gull
Belted Kingfisher (given how far it was the pic is not too bad)
And this is it for this one. Do not forget to check our Facebook Page for more pics from this and past trips. Thanks for reading and hope you come back for the next Views From Our Kayak.
