Haulover Canal because practice makes perfect...sometimes

Spoonies

Not this time. But I tried. I hope you were not deceived by the tittle. But had some time to spare this afternoon and just did it. A short paddle in the Indian River around Mullet Head Island. Wanted to practice from the kayak with some new settings am using in the camera.

Put In / Take Out: At the end of the dirt road North West of the bridge over Haulover Canal.

Brown Pelican outside Mullet Head Island

This was a very short paddle. Did circle around Mullet Head Island once and then made it back to the put in in something less than a couple of hours. It was a beautiful afternoon in the beautiful waters of the Indian River. Saw a manatee and two pods of dolphins while a bobcat crossed the dirt road in front of me on my way out. To the pics we go.

  1. I was there today. Saturday. Almost embarrassed to post my photos, after seeing yours. Almost. Saw the, or another, bobcat on my way out.

    1. The light was much better Thursday. I had planned to go back today with my wife but decided against it.
