Lower Wekiva River - Katie's Landings to Blackwater Creek

Pileated Woodpecker

Back to the water!!!! After a short hiatus decided to kayak today. It was a disappointing start since my wife told she was not coming at the last moment. Anyways...had a heck of a day at one of my favorites.

Alligator
Put In/ Take Out: Katie's Landings in Sanford. The cost is $3.00 per vehicle, honor system. For specific information please check previous posts about this location.

Little Blue Heron

Tonight most of you will be happy since will not have read the details of this trip. I am just going to say that the Wekiva is pristine, not too fast, no too slow, and the conditions were perfect. Not too many people in the river. Without more delay will show you the wildlife I saw today in the Lower Wekiva River. They are in the same order I took them, except the last pic, and please excuse me: Really tired and am downloading the pics one by one from another website.

And that is it for this one. Sorry about lack of descriptions. It was a long day and it became worst with this Blogger thing about not having more room for pics storage. Do not know if it is a coincidence but the same thing happened to Octohawk, who also has a blog (Pejorative Jinx). Check it out. She is a really good writer. Thanks for reading and hope you come back later this week. We will share more Views From Our Kayak.
